Delnoce Whitney Goubert died April 13th at his home in Sunapee after a short illness.

He was a graduate of Columbia University School of Architecture and had an office at 825 Madison Avenue, New York City, for 20 years before moving to New Hampshire to start the Oakledge residential community in Sunapee in 1969. His family had summered in Newbury, N.H. Since 1937.

He was devoted to the preservation of the environment and received the "Conservationist of the Year" award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1975. The American Institute of Architects honored him with the "Award of Excellence for House Design" in 1967 and again in 1973 for "Exemplary Design in Harmony with Nature" for the Oakledge Community.

He was a member of the American Institute of Architects and the American Arbitration Association.

He is survived by his wife Ingrid and his son Gerard.
