Fond Memories September has always held pleasant feelings for me. My parents, Walton and Virginia Chadwick, both had September birthdays. They loved the fall and enjoyed the crisp evenings and warm days. Of course, who doesn’t gaze at the turning leaves and admire the mountainsides and their multicolored trees? They poured their hearts and souls into this area and into the work which they loved. Chadwick Funeral Service got its name because they had the courage and drive to change the name when they purchased the business from Dad’s uncle, Fred Pressey. Walt and Ginny were hardworking members of the community and they spent their lifetimes serving the residents of the wider area. Life is all about remembering and sharing and having fun telling stories. As the days of September roll by I am especially grateful for two people who had such an impact on my life.
